If you are one of our many PDX Enterprise pharmacy management system users, we are now receiving the patient’s birth date, so you can use our birth date verification feature. If you aren’t a PDX customer and would like to know if your pharmacy system supports birth date verification, please contact our support team for more information.
To activate the birth date verification feature, go to the RxParameters section of Master Parameters and scroll to the VerifyPatientBDay parameter (highlighted in blue) as shown below:

If you would like to require the birth year as well, check the box next to VerifyBirthYear (circled in Red). If you would like to change whether the birth date is displayed on the Till screen, update the field called VerifyPatientBDayMan (circled in Yellow) as desired. When finished, click Exit and your changes will be saved.
