Wondering What's New at RMS? Find out from RMS President & CEO Brad Jones

Posted by Brad Jones on Thu, Apr 25, 2019 @ 11:47 AM

Change is something we encourage pharmacies to do every day. Well, not so much change as improve. It can be scary to take the leap sometimes, and it’s not always easy, but the upsides are well worth the effort.

At RMS, improvement is a goal that we embrace every day. Often, we’ll see those improvements take the shape of little things, like a new field on our case forms or a tweak in an internal process. Regularly, we’re focused on product enhancements and adding new features.  And occasionally, we find ourselves faced with something a little bit bigger.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve made some of these bigger improvements at RMS. I have been pleased to provide new opportunities to three long time RMS employees and I’m happy to share these improvements with you today.

3 Ways to Improve Sales in your Pharmacy

Posted by Brad Jones on Thu, Mar 26, 2015 @ 05:53 AM

People generally need more than they think they do.  That’s the principle behind the sales training at the Container Store.   It’s a strategy meant to increase the average ticket size and boost sales.  According to this article, instead of the more traditional, “How are you today?” or “Did you find everything you need?” They instead ask “What space are you trying to organize”.

You can use 3 similar simple strategies to increase revenue in your pharmacy.

Posted by Brad Jones on Thu, Feb 12, 2015 @ 11:03 AM

PCI Compliance

Posted by Brad Jones on Fri, Jul 20, 2012 @ 11:52 AM

Somehow it seems that every time we get ahead of the curve, a new regulation is lurking around the corner, requiring new policies & procedures, lots of research and mountains of paperwork. In the pharmacy industry, dealing with different compliance laws is a daily occurrence. Every sale a store makes has to meet all kinds of different criteria to satisfy numerous regulations. This means that your point-of sale system can be a major factor in maintaining the certifications necessary to run a successful pharmacy. HIPAA, Signature Logs, Medicare regulations and FSA certifications have daunted pharmacy owners for years. One of the newest issues facing us is PCI Compliance.

RMS Pays Employee Prescription Copays

Posted by Brad Jones on Fri, Jul 20, 2012 @ 09:55 AM

Did you know -- RMS supports independent and institutional pharmacies by reimbursing our employees' prescription copays as long as they don't have their scripts filled at national chain pharmacies? That's right, as part of our ongoing commitment to independent businesses, we recently announced to our employees that as long as they have their prescriptions filled at an independent, independent chain, or institutional pharmacy, we will reimburse them 100% of their copay. If they go to Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Costco, Target, Safeway, or any of the big box chains, they are on their own.

Change is good. The Pharmacy Owner Guides the Way.

Heaps of research has been written about change - what to change, why you should change, and how to change.
