In 1997, I started working at my local hometown pharmacy, Bartley's Discount Pharmacy, where I became a jack of all trades over the next 5 years. Some days I was a pharmacy tech, other days I was decorating the store front with new merchandise, and often I could be found helping our customers with any of their needs and ringing up their purchases at the Till. I became the manager by 2002 when the owner and I decided we needed to invest in a POS system not only for our pharmacy needs but to also properly manage our 10,000 square foot front end that was full of OTC, Gifts, Food, and a customer service station that offered UPS, Money Orders, Lottery, and other services. We went to trade shows and did our research, the owner decided to let me select the POS since he said this would become "My Baby". As you can see I chose the RMS POS! I flew out to Lacey, WA and spent a week training on the system and over the next 6 years I spent 9-10 hours every day learning and utilizing the system to meet our needs for RX, Ordering, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Reports, and the list goes on and on. The owner decided he would be selling the pharmacy to a chain and I just knew that was not the direction for me. I loved the work I did on the POS and I wanted to continue to grow with the software I had come to love, so I landed myself an interview with Brad and he hired me in 2008. I then continued to work and grow on the flip side of the coin as an installer/trainer and support tech for customers like I had just recently been. I have now been using our RMS POS for 24 years on both sides of the fence and look forward to many more!!
I am a very proud mom of three sons, as well as an amazing grandson and twin granddaughters. My oldest son, Kennedy, is the father of my wonderful grandson, Emmitt, who is now 10 years old and thriving in the third grade. My second oldest son, Drew, married his high school sweetheart in 2024, and they recently welcomed twin girls who have already stolen all of our hearts. My youngest son, Peyton, completed his first year at the University of Rio Grande in 2024 and decided he preferred a more hands-on approach to life. He is now enjoying a career in the construction field while continuing to discover his own path. We also welcomed a new addition to our family last year—Cosmo Harris. He is a Shih-Poo who will only reach about 5–6 pounds and brings endless joy to all of us.
My husband Todd and I enjoy traveling and adventuring whatever it may be and no matter what time of the year. We love traveling with our family but also enjoy trips with our friends or by ourselves. There is so much to experience in life and our goal is to see as much of the world as possible.
This is one of the reasons I love the job that I do at RMS, every day is an adventure! Live every day to the fullest and don't forget to slow down and enjoy the journey!
