Hello, my name is James, and I am a dedicated professional with a comprehensive background in the pharmacy and point-of-sale (POS) industry. Since 2006, I have cultivated my expertise, beginning with a significant 12-year tenure at Health Business Systems (HBS). During my time at HBS, I progressed from a lead technician to a supervisor within the POS division, where I honed my technical and leadership skills. My responsibilities later expanded as I transitioned to a supervisory role in the hardware department, encompassing support for both POS and the pharmacy management product, including associated hardware.
A key aspect of my experience involved the integration of various systems, such as robotics, IVR, and POS platforms like RMS, with our pharmacy management system. This provided me with valuable insights into system interfaces and cross-company interoperability, knowledge I leverage daily to effectively diagnose and resolve issues, ultimately improving client outcomes.
My professional philosophy centers on fostering strong client relationships built on trust and collaboration. I am committed to identifying effective solutions and creatively addressing challenges, drawing parallels to the iterative process of building with LEGO – sometimes requiring deconstruction to achieve a more robust and refined outcome.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am an enthusiastic Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) with a personal collection and active involvement in the PennLUG community. As the webmaster and technology lead for the club, I manage the website and other online platforms. Currently, PennLUG is proudly displaying our creations at America on Wheels in Allentown, PA. My passion for LEGO extends to a personal LEGO city layout incorporating diverse themes.
Family and shared experiences are also paramount in my life. My wife, an IT Administrator, and I share a technology-oriented perspective, often collaborating to find effective solutions. We have two children: a son born in 2012 who enjoys video games and basketball, and a daughter born in 2014 with a passion for sports like soccer and basketball, as well as the creation of slime.
Travel and adventure are integral to our family life. We are avid Disney enthusiasts and cherish our visits to Orlando, FL, with Batuu in Hollywood Studios being a particular highlight. More recently, we have also enjoyed the experiences offered by Great Wolf Lodge resorts.
Looking ahead, my aspirations include continuing to explore new destinations and create lasting memories through travel with my family, both within the United States and potentially internationally.
